ASTM A537 steel plate, full name is ASTM A537 heat-treated carbon-manganese-silicon steel plate for pressure vessels. Divided into three levels, respectively, A537CL1, A537CL2, A537CL3. Sometimes also written or read as SA537CL1, SA537CL2, SA537CL3, SA is the ASME standard in the writing of the S that ASME, A that ferrous metals, and ASTM is much the same.

SA537 Series Steel Plate Production Process

 

Electric furnace steelmaking→LF/VD refining→mould casting→plate rolling→heat treatment→fault detection→finishing→inspection→warehousing

SA537 all levels of delivery status:

SA537CL1 heat treatment is normalised.

SA537CL2 heat treatment is modulation (quenching + tempering), tempering temperature not less than 595℃.

SA537CL3 heat treatment is modulated (quenched + tempered), tempering temperature not less than 620℃.

 

The use of SA537 series steel plate

 

A537/SA537MCL1/CL2/CL3 steel plate, with good low-temperature impact toughness, is widely used in the manufacture of petroleum, chemical products production, storage and transport equipment. Used in the production of reaction heat exchanger, separator, ball tanks, oil and gas tanks, liquefied gas tanks, nuclear reactor pressure shell, boiler ladle, high-pressure water pipe of hydroelectric power station, turbine worm shells, and other equipment and components.GNEE can produce a thickness of up to 350mm, width of up to 3,700mm, the length of up to 17,500mm of wide and thick plate to provide manufacturing industry to use, but also can be cut to delivery of special shaped parts, not only to save costs, but also for the enterprise to increase the efficiency and the length of 17,500mm. This not only saves costs, but also increases efficiency and benefits for the organisation.
